The answer can vary greatly between markets and stagers but today we will fill you in on some of the factors that will weigh in on determining what it will cost to stage the house.

WHAT STAGERS NEED TO KNOW TO DETERMINE COST

Location

Home Stagers employ staff or a moving crew on an hourly basis. This, paired with rising fuel costs, will impact the service fee.

How large is the house?

The larger the house, the larger the rooms. This typically means the Home Staging Team must provide larger scale furniture and art to provide correct scale for your home.

Do we have direct access to the property?

Elevators or stairs can complicate the staging install. Your stager will ask you if they have direct access, otherwise, a fee might be assessed.

What is the list price of the home?

Don't be surprised if the stager asks you for the list price of the home. A stagers goal is ultimately to make the home look and feel more expensive than the asking price. More expensive homes call for more luxurious furniture. 

Which rooms would you like to stage?

We recommend that all primary living spaces are staged. Your Home Stager can help you identify which rooms should be staged and which, if needed, can be skipped.

How long would you like the home staged for?

The lease term does not change the service fee, typically, for any associated cost to stage your property is the same, whether it is staged for 60 or 90 days. Your rental term, however, is based on the duration of your lease term. Most stagers offer a minimum of 30, 60 or 90 day stage plans with option to extend.

Running a staging company includes the cost to maintain trending inventory and art, warehouse costs, staff, moving trucks, fuel, insurance and ongoing education and training. Be sure to consider a stagers experience, credentials and portfolio when weighing one quote against another.
